August Digital File Special

For the month of August I am offering a digital file special. applause!!!!!   (ok…in my head)
After a session I know all of my clients can’t always order every image, but I want them to have every image, just because I do! (stomps feet) But I’ve been told it wouldn’t be very business savvy to go giving away pictures (stupid business savvy…stomps feet again) SO for the month of August I am offering the Mia Collection for $600–yep that’s a $500 discount…ya dig. Actually that’s cheaper than the Ava Collection which is 20 files and you get the whole enchilada. It just makes me happy to say “here is your DVD… with all your pictures!!!”

So here’s the deets: (is deets right for details? I thought I was being cute but now I’m just thinking of beets which is weird… ok well I’m leaving it)
1) This only applies to portrait sessions, not weddings. sad face.
2) If your session takes place in July but your order is not due until August (for all my latest sessions) you are eligible for the dealie-o.
3)This is an all or nothing, the other digital packages are their original price.
4) If your session takes place in August but your order is not due until September (I already have some of you late August folks on the books) you are eligible for the deal as well.

OK! Hope that answers all questions but if it doesn’t shoot me an e-mail and we’ll chat! And I hope to be mailing out lots of DVD’s chocked full of all your gallery photo’s! Of course in a lovely leather silk lined case…duh… :)

And because no blog post is complete without some photo’s here are a couple that I never shared of two of my most favorite girls on the face of the planet. I am heading to Austin this weekend for some shoots and these girls (my nieces) and my bff live there so I get to see them this weekend and I’m so excited…late night slumber parties and roller skating here I come!

(oh and this is what happens when you let me pick out clothes for a photoshoot…matching?? pffft….who needs it)

Things that make my heart happy

sunscreen. I wear it every day. I’m pretty sure my skin would explode without it. How did (redheaded) people survive before sunscreen?

pickles. I have a major love affair with them, I’m like snookie. Ok that is the only time I will ever say I’m like snookie, I hope.

pedicures. I have to get them, I suck at painting my own toes, and don’t even get me started on the foot massages and exfoliation.

seeing my nieces happy. really, there is nothing better than a big smile on one of my girls faces.

happy client e-mails. here is one I got today:
“Oh.My.Word. The pictures are just beyond. Love them!!! I can’t wait to see the rest. I think I may have screamed a little when I saw that first one of Jackson. Thank you so much!”
I need to start printing them out and reading them when I have a bad day because they always cheer me up and remind me why I’m so blessed to do what I do.

gummy bears. Oh you sweet little teddy shaped bits of heaven. A client recently brought me two bags of gummy bears to our meeting. I almost teared up a little…gummy bears do that to me.

Grady and his mom and dad.  They are just such a sweet fun family, mom and dad are really cool and laid back and Grady is so stinkin cute I can hardly stand it.

Georgia on my mind

I had a love affair with Georgia. It was one of those places I never thought too much about until I moved there, and then I fell in love with it’s charm, it’s beauty and it’s people. Georgia and I went our separate ways a couple of years ago but I just can’t seem to stay away. I’m not sure if it’s the amazing food in Athens, the bustling city life in Atlanta, or just the memories I have from fun times there. I am certain of one thing, I definitely love going back because of the beautiful families I have come to know and love that live there. I really get attached to my clients, I feel like they are my friends pretty much right away… even if they don’t want to be friends I’m like “oh yeah, we’re friends, you’d better believe it!” Ok, I don’t say that out loud but I am definitely thinking it in my head. And the kiddo’s….oh man the kiddo’s. I just get so attached to them, I know I only get to spend a couple of hours with them on occasion (seriously, I need to fix that… like an Avery’s day out where I get together all my kids and we play all day…no cameras allowed). Anyway, even though I only get to see them for a bit I then spend hours editing photo’s looking at their sweet faces and then I start to feel like I know them even more. When you are looking at literally hundreds of photo’s of a child or a family you can really start to see them for who they are. I’ll notice the way a little boy bends his arm a certain way when he’s trying to run really fast, or the way a little girl smiles a little crooked when you really get her laughing, or the way a toddler’s face just seems to change, light up, when he looks at his mom. I see these things unfold in the photo’s and I just fall for the children, for the whole family all over again.

Ok. It’s official. I’m a sappy photographer.

note for photographers:

I shot all of these with my 24-70L and I stuck around 2.8-4.0. I became a prime snob for a bit but I’m falling for my 24-70 again, it’s a workhorse.
